Computer and Information Research Scientist
Location: Englewood, Colorado, U.S.A.


POSITION DUTIES: Conduct research on the single-stage dense localization, DNN security methods, the method of print attack, the method of multiscale DCT (Discrete Cosine Transform), and etc. Build and train multiple CNN models with Tensorflow and test the model by validating on the industry-standard datasets such as the ORL database published by Cambridge University and LFW (Labeled Faces in the Wild) dataset. Build analysis tools and simulations to understand the performance of complex systems. Conduct original research to solve hard problems applying big data engineering in new areas. Solve analytical problems using rigorous and quantitative approaches. Build the TensorFlow Serving. Design the database schema which will be directly accessed by the model which holds high dimensional space embeddings. Enable in-memory feature for MySQL to reduce model access time to sub-millisecond. Build customized functions in MySQL to increase performance for many scenarios, such as Euclidean distance calculation. Research and design the MongoDB stack for end-user applications. Research and optimize our software stack and database performance on the Linux operating system and its derivatives.



REQUIREMENTS:

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field;

6 months experience in design, installation, backup, optimization, and troubleshooting for mainstream SQL (e.g. MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g. MongoDB) databases;

6 months experience in Linux operating system and its derivatives;

Either 6 months experience or completed master level courses on the below fields: scientific computing, data engineering and mining, big data architectures, and project management.
